Having a blog is one of the best marketing tools I have found so far. Unfortunately, others have found ways to exploit them for their own personal gain. Today we will look deeper into blogs and how to counteract their enemies.
If you already have a blog and post to it on a regular basis, you should be seeing results in the form of more traffic to your site. You may already be getting comments whose sole purpose is to advertise their male enhancement medicines and a list of other uninteresting items.
The pace has picked up lately with more people promoting blog blasters. That is a software package allowing people to post their ads to hundreds or thousands of blogs with a single mouse click. I get ads in email daily, shouting how great it is to flood blogs with those ads.
The problem gets bigger as non-bloggers are enticed to buy and use that software. It means the epidemic is only starting. I find that type of marketing discusting and just a different form of Spam. The only ones who benefit from the flooding blogs with their junk are the senders. They actually cost blog owners time and as we all have come to know, time is money.
What can you do? First of all, when your blog was set up, it should have been configured so that you approve every comment before it is made public. That way you can avoid the junk being shown with your articles.
It should have also been configured so people have to create an account and be logged in to post a comment. That option is not foolproof and the spammers find ways around it.
Another thing you can do is go through your list of moderated comments and mark them as Spam. The system will then not allow any more comments from that person. That will force the intruder to get a different email address before posting again. Those who send Spam on a regular basis also know about setting up junk, one-time use email accounts.
Now monitoring comments might look like a hassle, but getting feedback on your blog can be very helpful. It will also entice others to link to your blog, giving you even more traffic.
So in the end, getting junk comments comes along with having a popular blog. The more popular you get, the more comments you will get, both good and bad. Embrace it and keep feeding that blog.

Great advice and very true. One of the most important things bloggers, or any business, can do is try not to give up. Even when times are tough it’s important to be there for your readers and customers because they will remember you in a positive light once things get better and you will be rewarded for your efforts.
